Fair enough, didn't check that one. How old is Silva?

What about that young Spaniard who's so highly rated. Saez. Any chance of him starting to push into the u18s this year? He's 15 as well right?

They're both 16, turn 17 before the turn of the year though.

Reds announce duo's departure - Liverpool FC

Liverpool have confirmed that both Francisco Duran and Nikolay Mihaylov have left the club.

The young duo joined the Reds back in 2007 but failed to make an impact on the first-team scene.

Duran arrived from Malaga in the January transfer window but despite showing glimpses of his talent in the reserves, the Spanish midfielder endured an injury-prone spell at Anfield, and departs following the expiration of his contract earlier this summer.

Mihaylov was signed from Levski Sofia but never looked like ousting Pepe Reina from the first-team goal, and after spending the 2009-10 season on loan at Dutch side FC Twente, he has now made the move permanent.

Hmmm, that does seem to contradict what the local press were saying at the time. A quick Google search turns up loads of articles saying that he was sold in late Jan/early Feb.

Still, I suppose the club knows best.

I'm not sure that they do anymore.

Maybe the transfer was agreed in January for when his loan expired this summer?

Or maybe the club are making it look like he wasn't sold so they can pay off a bit of interest.

We have Johnson and Kelly for right back so probably could let Darby go.

In midfield we have Lucas, Aquilani, Mascherano, Gerrard, Shelvey. Can't see Spearing getting in a head of any of them.

We'll probably get close to fuck all for them so might be worth keeping them to see if they can improve.
