Using the word awesome for him today is no understatement. He was immense. What summed him up for me was a United attack in the dying minutes, when we broke it up and he brought it out of defense and hurtled towards the United half, and the only thinkg they could do was bring him down.

And I reckon he knew what he was doing. A quick look around, to see what options are on, then he decided that the best thing for the team was to keep running forward until some dickwit is obliged to kick.

Another immense performance from a completely immense player.

The win meant everything for Mascherano today as once again he was immense.

He even managed to tackle near the corner flag when he was clearly in pain and needed to come off but instead of shying away from the ball he gets stuck in there.

The goal the mancs scored was his fault as he should have tracked the runner but he made up for it as the game went on and Anderson, Scholes and Carrick were his bitches today.
