He actually had a very bad start to the game, one or two of his passes were given away and he was at fault for the goal by not tracking Tevez back but it shows the heart of the lad to come back into the game the way he did and he was excellent for the rest of the game.

The win meant everything for Mascherano today as once again he was immense.
