  1. If they would pay another manager 3.5m a year, and they're offering him 2m a year, and that to for just 2 years, why shouldn't he ask for a respectable package? He's not here just to do us favors, its a professional contract.
  2. And the winning manager from last season has since then shown such amazing tactical nous.... :wallbutt:
  3. Not the 'Liverpool Way' now is it? Lost a hell lot of respect for Jamie once I heard about that.
  4. True that. I'm surprised he didn't get stick for refusing to play there under Rafa. I know he's a legend and all that, but no one is bigger than the club. Anyone know about this Jim Boardman tweet that said Carra wouldnt sign a new deal with us as long "that c***" was managing us. (last year)
  5. I hope its Kenny, we need him to be more involved with NESV with regards to the footballing side of things tbh. I know Purslow has done a lot of good by siding with Broughton, but he is no expert on football knowledge at all. I hope he tells NESV that Hodgson was a stop gap given the uncertainties around the club... Some Kenny songs this sunday? :P
  6. Why blame RBS for interest payments? Thats standard business practice in the lending world isnt it? They did the work 6 months back by putting in iron clad contracts and getting people on the board who would stand up against G&H. If anyone deserves to be blamed for all this its David Moores and Rick Parry, they pushed us into this hole and went away with their money. RBS though safeguarding its interests saved us big time here.
  7. Cheers Rafa, thanks for standing up to the 2 clowns...
  8. I'd have a local ex player, Thommo, Aldo? If Kenny is available, I'd give it to him first. Reade would be a good choice too tbh. Is Rogan Taylor - Jamie Kanwar?
  9. Do BarCap get paid by the week? That'd explain if they don't mind the delay...
  10. What the Juve website said of Aqua: In the summer of 2009 he was transferred to Liverpool. His debut with the Reds came at the end of October during the League Cup and Alberto soon became loved by the public. In England he made 27 appearances and scored 2 goals, one in the championship and the other in the Europa League. Now he returns to Italy and joins Juventus with the objective of delighting the Juve fans with his moves. -- Really? When did that happen? :P Juventus.com - News Serie A
  11. been noticing this since a while now, it seems that every article on .tv has a positive spin on it in the comment. Looks like they're doing Online Reputation Management for the offal...
  12. Amoo looks more comfortable on the Ball than Ngog, he's direct too, hope he can get some play time this season...
  13. should start all Carling & FA cup games at least. Looks like a real talent, hope we tie him down on a long term deal with a huge buyout clause.
  14. Well, he is saying the right things, but then again, wouldn't that be expected of a player who is moving to a new club anyways? I'd rather he remain fit and do his talking on the pitch. That being said, the sight of him stopping extra to sign autographs just before the second half started yesterday was very good.
  15. Does it mean that middle eastern investors will not buy their club then? :P
  16. Degen has shown why he is on his way out. Impressed with Kelly, Ayala and Darby, although I hope Darby isn't our 2nd choice LB this season, we need 2 lads there. Amoo has been very good with his movement and pace, Gulasci looks big and comfortable with the ball.
