Interesting to see where he will end up. Could Barca afford both Neymar and Griezmann? Maybe Bayern if the Sane deal is too difficult to conclude. United have Martial, Sanchez and Rashford already in his position already. He doesn’t strike me as a Guardiola type of player either.

I think Griezmann would be cancelled if they could get Neymar. Apparently the dressing room have vetoed Griezmann and want Neymar's return. That could just be newspaper speculation though.

According to Correia De Manha, a Portuguese paper, we have offered £45m for Bruno Fernandes of Sporting. We are the only club who have bid for him so far this summer.

They don't, especially with them rehiring Leonardo as Sporting Director. They'll never willingly sell him unless Neymar himself forces a move eventually. Despite the negative publicity, he's actually been by far their most important player over the past two years when fit.

I think he might be a dud. Red flag that no one seems actually interested and these reports feel like his agent parading him around.

Maybe last season, but surely M’Bappe passed him this year?

Mbappe was slightly disappointing by his very high standards this year. Didn't deliver in the biggest games and scored loads of goals but his general level of performance wasn't consistent.

Neymar is still the creative force of the side and they have felt his absence when he has been injured. They need him to get over their hump in the Champions League.

I'm aware we're asking loads for these players. I just don't see people paying it. It's a bit like the 30m euros we were looking for origi last year. Bournemouth can't buy them all (although they might buy lallana, especially if they lose frazer)

Some recent transfer fees for young players with little top level experience, and this is just the Premier League. Its where the market is now.

Maddison - £20m

Solanke - £19m

Adama Traore - £18m

Dan Jones - £15m

Danny Ward - £12.5m

Josh Murphy - £11m

David Brooks - £10m

Angus Gunn - £10m

Some Portuguese journo linking us to this lad on Twitter. Francisco Ferreira, Benfica centre back.

Judging by this and this alone, he appears tall, calm, young, good with both feet, also plays left sided (like Big Virg).  I didn't see a fee quoted but I can imagine that he'd be exactly the sort of centre half we'd go for if we shift Degsy.

L’équipe had a big story today, front page, psg ready to sell Neymar.

the way they made the story I think this is serous stuff. They are very reliable and they see themselves as quality press.

they might sell him at the right price so they could reshape an unbalanced squad and the club is fed up with him. The article also  says Neymar wants out.

He was outstanding with Paris this year as s free playmaker.

The paper points out onto 2 clubs could welcome him : Barca & Real.

    • That's very nice but given my exceptionally humble nature, I would accept to merely be part of a Ligue 1 transfer targets committee, although I would expect my expert opinion to be given much credence.
    • The looming shadow of Everton has actually finished a couple of our greatest managers, their obsession with Everton eventually taking its toll on them. Klopp's going the same way..........    Saint Domingo Player Valuation: £70m Today at 1:34 PM   Add bookmark #29,904 He intimidates the media and the referees alike and does it expertly. He knows exactly what he’s doing. He denigrates other clubs and creates sound bites for the commercial success of his own. Referees and pundits know that if they make a call against his team, or come out against him in the press, he is at the head of probably the most powerful propaganda system in football at the moment and could probably end the career of anyone he wanted.

That’s why prior to the CL win he had never been questioned at any point about trophyless seasons, his complete disregard for the FA Cup, his hypocrisy on not spending money, his tapping up of players. Meanwhile Mourinho Conte and Sarri have effectively been hounded out of jobs by the media despite having far more success than him.

He’s a sinister man who knows exactly what he’s doing in how he portrays this zany hipster uncle image yet let’s the mask slip whenever remotely threatened. The amount of times he’s come out against Everton alone when we’re a complete non entity in terms of competition at the top of the league is bizarre. Calling our football wild just because we haven’t rolled over for him every single time we’ve played them, trying to insinuate we’ve spent loads when his own club was outspending everyone in Europe. Even having a pop at us when he won the CL, in what should have been the height of his career he had Everton on his mind. Mind you Dalglish got so consumed with us that he blew up from the job twice, and Benitez was also unhealthily obsessed with us so he is at least following in a proud tradition of unhinged Liverpool managers.    Like Quote Reply Report    Reactions:cronullasharks, Naisy'sCharitableLeanings, Jonte and 4 others
    • I wouldn't imagine BGJ would expect the same pay level , as I'm sure he is aware that the original amount was skewed by him being on a free.
    • Still have no idea why goalies always commit at penalties , the one above is a perfect example.   After the clown starts approaching like he is having a fit there is no way he can have full control over his shot, so just fucking wait to see where it is going.
    • I’ve not seen any links, but if Arsenal signed him, he could be the difference between them finishing seventh or finishing seventh.
