We’ll see how he goes, and obviously he’s feeling his way back and deserves every chance to get up to speed and make a contribution. Just commenting on how off the pace he looked. We’ve become a team of athletes, by and large, and it will be interesting to see how Lallana factors into that. If he gets back to his best - pressing, balance, two footed, skill, eye for a pass and so on, then he will have an important part to play.

 

He looked so slow that I half wondered if his legs had gone. Sometimes it’s a gradual thing and sometimes it’s not. We’ll see how he fares as he comes back.

Could equally be applied to Ings,but at least Lallana looks technically proficient while Ings looks technically deficient.
