If players can't raise their game for the stakes on offer then they really shouldn't be getting caps mate.  It's a pity both clubs can't qualify. It would have been a totally different picture had ROI not lost at home to Serbia.

Not sure about that.

 

Just think the talent pool is dry, we've basically got 1 genuine world class talent (Kane).

 

Back in 2014 we had Gerrard, Lampard, Rooney and still came bottom of the group.

 

 

But now, we still get treated like a big team, and have deep opposition waiting to get broken down by the stuff-legged geniuses such as Henderson, Winks, and our big threats are Kane, Alli and Rashford.

 

Our midfield is totally devoid of the craft and athleticism needed to influence games.

 

Southgate would need a total midfield overhaul to get a tune out of that limited team.

I'm looking forward to the encounters between Wales and the Rep of Ireland and Holland v Sweden. NI basically need a point against Norway to make the play offs, they could still make it even if they lose this evening. 

 

Watching England of late is tedious, Southgate is clueless and tbf we just haven't got the players to worry the big boys, or the mediocre ones. 

 

NI are in no matter what, they've got more points than Slovakia

Cheers mate, I noticed that shortly after posting. Basically Slovakia are the ones shitting themselves, the only way they can make the play offs is if Wales and the ROI draw and Wales would dip out on GD, if that is how they sort it out when teams are level on points for the 8th play off spot.
