Thanks for confirming that you were wrong, and that my comment was aimed at Islam, the religion, and not Muslims, the people.

Tosser.

What's a Muslim?

Muslims really need to come out and condemn this sort of behaviour.

Why? I mean, lots will, but it's not the fault of Muslims. It's the fault of some Muslims. Those are the only people I beleive are responsible. Others who are part of a massively diverse group shouldn't be obliged to so anything.

From the Guardian:

What we know so far

More than 150 people are feared to have been killed in a series of devastating attacks across Paris on Friday evening.

All the attackers are believed to have died, police say, although authorities continue to search for accomplices who might still be at large.

Shootings and explosions were reported in six locations across the city, including the Stade de France in northern Paris, where two suicide attacks and a bombing took place as the national team played Germany in a friendly football match.

As many as 120 people died after a mass shooting inside the Bataclan concert venue, where three attackers also died after detonating suicide belts.

Shootings also took place in restaurants and other sites in the centre of the city. Precise figures for the dead and injured are not known.

If they are screaming "Allahu Akbar" before chopping peoples heads off, shooting up beaches and concert halls or setting off bombs, yes muslims do need to come out and condemn this. Meaningfully condemn it too, not secretly agree with it.

I wonder if many French people will be condemning their own past governments for dividing Syria for many years since 1920 after they invaded the place? For causing so much pain, suffering, and division in Syria that the country never fully recovered. You could argue that past French imperialists have caused more suffering to Syrians than any other government, and that's partly why ISIS could gain so much territory in recent years. It's still all the fault of Muslims though right?

Past actions of idiotic French elites are also to blame for the deaths yesterday, but we won't be reading about that, we'll be reading about Muslims. Most Muslims condemn, and have condemned ISIS and their attacks, and will continue to do so.

Attacks took place one day before the next round of Vienna talks too. They're getting defeated in Syria and Iraq, so probably trying to cause as much division as possible. If the forces currently inside Syria are left they'll take all territory from ISIS, but now that the politicians are back in crusade mode you can bet they'll be trying hard to fuck it up.

Why? Because they don't want peace, they have other factions to serve. Like those from oil, gas, arms manufacturers, bankers, intelligence agencies. Putting the focus on Muslims who are sick of these ISIS terrorists is just a huge distraction.

Peaceful Muslims didn't start this, and they shouldn't have to deal with this shit every time imperialism fails and terrorists rise after it's failed. One thing that could help solve this is western forces getting the fuck out of the middle east. There's no good need for them to be there in the first place, and the attacks yesterday are more the fault of past actions of countries like the US, UK, and yes, France. Once again innocent people are killed, and once again the distraction game starts up, by those that refuse to look at history, but instead call for more and more fighting, bombing, laws, repression, surveillance, and whatever other crap that isn't going to solve the problem.

Last post for a while, more sense from Guardian comments instead of the actual article, as usual. One here :

A weak piece entirely devoid of historical context. France's colonial history that still remains unaddressed? The large working class ghettos that warehouse many second generation immigrants. The black faces that clean the metro, the brown faces that sell fruit there?

France generally is a deeply segregated and unequal society.

The horror unfolding tonight is a result of the expanding poison of Saudi funded wahhabism. An ideology that is funded by the most wealthy to mobilise the most marginalised, into unspeakable acts of terror.

None of which would have gained anything like the foothold they have now were it not for US military intervention that ripped the middle east asunder and sabotaged every democracy that existed, for it's own gain.

Muslims, you say? Muslims are the main target of groups like the so-called ISIS/IL. It's Muslims that are fleeing with their children in their thousands to escape the very same brutality and horror that was unleashed in Paris tonight.

France, the main ally of the US (Obama declared again today) are in bombing Syria to bits again. And who pays the price for this? The innocent in Syria, in Iraq, In Afghanistan, in Paris... need I go on?

If, as is claimed, it's a result of French imperialism in Syria then why haven't these attacks been happening since 1920? Why weren't they shouting 'Free Syria' and not 'Praise Allah'.

The annoying thing is you lot aren't thick, stop ignoring all the evidence and admit that Islamism is a massive fucking issue and be done with it.
