There are a number of reasons why we were so poor in that half:

 

- a lot of players who are new to the side

- a formation that doesn't suit us

- a lot of poor passing

- injuries

- a selection gamble

- a defence that is still gelling

- some poor individual performances

- Villa not making any mistakes and working out how to play us

- replacing a prolific goal scorer with an insatiable will to win and non-stop energy with Balotelli

 

Our season depends on how many of those are chronic problems.
