We add a fourth in stoppage time (eventually credited to Woltman) before the final whistle goes.

With just six games to play in the league, we are now nine points clear of the two relegation places. Hopefully Morton and O’Rourke (who came off at the hour mark) aren’t too injured.

God alone knows when we’ll see the highlights of this, since anyone who might have access to edit the footage will be in London until at least Monday morning.

Under-18s away to Everton, starting, well, about now :-

Davies; Davidson, Scanlon, Miles, Jonas, Mabaya, McConnell, Pilling, Blair, Clark, Roberts.

subs: Hewitson, Wellity, Frauendorf, Cannonier.

Normally this would be on the box, but apparently we didn’t make the effort to arrange it. Also interesting to see players rested with one eye on the European game next week.

FA cup?
Getting really pissed off that there seems to be no effort to show these games .

Our lads are in action tomorrow afternoon in the UEFA Youth League round of 16 where they host Belgian side, Genk. This game is being broadcast live on BT Sport 1, with kick-off at 14:00.

Genk smashed Chelsea 5-1 in the playoff round to set up this fixture, so they're certainly not to be taken lightly.

If we are able to pick up the win tomorrow then we'll face a trip to the winners of AZ Alkmaar vs Juventus.

The full knockout stage draw is below, with all fixtures just a single leg, with the semi-final and final played in Nyon at the end of April:

Round of 16 (1/2 March)
Liverpool (ENG) vs Genk (BEL)
Real Madrid (ESP) vs Atlético (ESP)
AZ Alkmaar (NED) vs Juventus (ITA)
Dynamo Kyiv (UKR) vs Sporting CP (POR)
Manchester United (ENG) vs Dortmund (GER)
Žilina (SVK) vs Salzburg (AUT)
Paris Saint-Germain (FRA) vs Sevilla (ESP)
Midtjylland (DEN) vs Benfica (POR)

Quarter-finals (15/16 March)
AZ Alkmaar/Juventus vs Liverpool/Genk
Paris Saint-Germain vs Žilina/Salzburg
Dynamo Kyiv/Sporting CP vs Midtjylland/Benfica
Dortmund vs Real Madrid/Atlético

Semi-finals (22 April, Nyon)
1 AZ Alkmaar/Juventus/Liverpool/Genk vs Dynamo Kyiv/Sporting CP/Midtjylland/Benfica
2 Dortmund/Real Madrid/Atlético vs Paris Saint-Germain/Žilina/Salzburg

Final (25 April, Nyon)
Winners of semi-final 2 vs winners of semi-final 1

PSG & Dortmund both won their respective fixtures today so have qualified for the quarter-finals.

PSG beat Sevilla 2-0 in Paris, while Dortmund knocked out the Mancs on penalties earlier today with former Man City youngster Jamie Bynoe-Gittens scoring twice in the 90 minutes before dispatching the winning penalty in the shootout.

UEFA.com have our lineup as :-

Davies; Mabaya, Norris, Koumetio, Quansah, Corness, Balagizi, Frauendorf, Musialowski, Woltman, Cannonier.

Subs: Mrozek, Scanlon, Miles, Jonas,  Pilling, Clark, O’Rourke.

A pretty strong lineup while missing Beck, Bradley & Gordon - All of whom we may see involved against Norwich this evening.

Layton Stewart has been added to the Youth League squad too, so he'd be eligible for selection once he's deemed fit enough, which would be great for the lad.

Halftime 1-0

Scrappy game, not helped by several of our players not seeming to be in position. We can’t really go 4-3-3 because no-one in the squad possesses the positional nous to play ‘holding midfielder’ and five players want to play up front.

Quansah has been excellent though, and Norris has sworn loudly on national telly.

Liverpool 1 Genk 1

The visitors are level. Musialowski tries a trick when receiving the ball from a throw-in in our defensive third and gives the ball away. Genk work it into the box where it is half cleared by Koumetio but only to where the Genk number 8 is waiting. He smashes the ball past Davies from the edge of the 18 yard box.
