Skrtel's gung-ho run at Hull's defence in the second half, while not on the scale of Coutinho's amazing solo effort, did put a smile on my face. I love it when he does that.

he's utter liability and an average defender, was solid under Hodgson with Carra beside nursing him all the time, he's a donkey and softest defensive "hardman" ever

Not true. This game has been coming for ages.

 

His deficiencies are masked by the odd set piece goal or last ditch sliding tackle. We never look organised or assured when he's in the team, he goes for balls that he shouldn't, grabs hold of people too much, gets caught out of position and is an all round liability. 

 

Our 4 centre backs go from the sublime to the ridiculous. We need a consistent performer. Sakho still pretty unproven, but the same can't be said for the other 3.
