Colin Pascoe on Suarez celebrating his goal ''alone''

''When we got the corner Carragher wanted to get in the box, but everyone was telling him to get back and defend instead.

That's one of reasons why most of the players choose to congratulate Carra on his fantastic assist, some even thought he was the one who scored. After the equalizer we only thought about one thing, and that was to try and get a second goal.''

- Colin Pascoe, Liverpool's assistant managers interview.

20 years ago this wouldn't even be a discussion. It's just the way it has gone now. Oohh the drama. Football can often be a bit like Heat magazine for blokes.

Some of the comments i read on the photo thread on RAWK are incredible.

"why are they all so sad?" Actual image: a few blokes running in the rain not smiling.

"what do you think that look means?" Actual image: Gerrard looking in the general direction of another player grimacing.

"the team spirit is incredible. We are really going places." Actual image: A group of 18-30 year old blokes are playing footy for a couple of hours, during this time something funny happened and they laughed.

Another gem i read in a few places (including here) from when they were traveling to a game on the coach in Being Liverpool:

"why are all the players so depressed? The morale must be terrible." The boring truth: a group of 18-30 year old blokes who see each other every single day in the middle of a 3 hour coach journey passing the time on iPads.

So true. But we all do it anyway!
