Kidnappers have come out of the woodwork and demanded £5million for the release of Joseph Yobo's brother. Everton have been quick to respond, offering £3 million plus Andy Van Der Meyde.

Made up for those lads. They've just won the FA Trophy and the Conference playoff final and just had planning permission for a new stadium granted. Two Wembley wins in 8 days, back in the league and a new ground on the way. Can't be bad. Just showed the team coach leaving London yesterday, stopping off at a chicken takeaway and an offie with the players buying takeaways and cases of beer for the trip home. Keeping it real, brilliant stuff.

Anyone know what's going on there?? He seems desperate to leave, and his recovery from 'injury' seems to have been rather protracted, which makes you wonder whether the two are connected? His agent - always gobby at the best of times - has been telling the Israeli press that his man wants to go to Dinamo Moscow and even that the player has agreed terms. So what's going on and why is he disillusioned with life at Anfield?

He wants to meet some of the people on here if he wants to see mental problems. People.co.uk - BEN: KOP'S LOST TITLE MIND GAME BEN: KOP'S LOST TITLE MIND GAME By Neil Silver Kop star Yossi Benayoun claims Liverpool have a "mental problem" trying to win the Premier League. The title hasn't gone to the Kop since 1990 and Israel midfielder Benayoun does not envisage the drought coming to an end in the near future. In a surprising attack on the club which pays his wages, he said: "It could be after so many years without becoming champions a mental problem has developed at the club. "You have to remember this is the toughest League in the world and …

Is it now time to add the little genius to the list of our most important players who have to play? Jockey Hansen once said you need 4 or 5 truly top class players to win titles and build around, and I believe that Yossi has now established himself alongside the likes of Torres, Stevie, Reina and Masch.

Yossi will be a massive loss. He will miss City, Debrecen, Everton, Blackburn, Fiorentina. Possibly even Arsenal, Wigan and Pompey.

Liverpool Echo.co.uk - Liverpool FC - News - Yossi Benayoun and Albert Riera set for Liverpool FC return at Manchester City some good news for a change? YOSSI BENAYOUN and Albert Riera could be in line for a shock return to action this weekend after responding to radical treatment on their torn hamstrings. The Liverpool midfielders were flown to Belgrade earlier this week to see Mariana Kovacevic, the physiotherapist who has become famous for curing injured sportsmen with liquid from horse placenta. Both men were expected to be sidelined for between three to five weeks after they sustained the injuries against Birmingham last Monday. But their condi…

This may have been reported elsewhere but we have agreed terms with Benayoun. Just the small matter of getting West Ham to lower their price now.

Yossi Benayoun - 6 months ago I recall someone calling him “poor man’s Luis Garcia”. I didn’t disagree, I certainly saw Yossi as no more than an OK squad player. My opinion of him has changed entirely. These last two months he’s proved to be a brilliant player. His work-rate is Kuyt-like. He’s got flair. He’s got vision. He’s creating chances, scoring goals. In short, he’s grown into one hell of a player. Have we ever seen a player improve more than him over the course of one season? “Poor man’s Garcia” – I’m having a laugh. As much as I loved that little Spaniard, Yossi is a different class. The way he’s playing now, he’s up there with the very best. Stay wit…

It's only from the Mirror, but this lad has had an excellent year and would be a welcome addition: Daily Mirror NEXT STOP LIVERPOOL? EXCLUSIVE By Neil Mcleman YOSSI BENAYOUN (left) is a summer transfer target of Rafa Benitez after the Israeli's outstanding FA Cup Final performance. The Liverpool manager has long been an admirer of the attacking midfielder after his three years in Spain with Racing Santander. And Benitez has been impressed by his first season in the Premiership since his £2.5million transfer to West Ham in the summer. Sources close to Benayoun say his camp were sounded out about a possible move to Anfield before the FA Cup final. A…

How do people think he's done? Is he good enough? I know there was much consternation and gnashing of teeth when we signed Flossy from certain quarters. I think he's done pretty much how I expected, except he's scored more goals. He's a decent, skilful, inconsistent player that is more suited to the like of Portsmouth than a club like Liverpool, but useful as a squad member.

Sky Sports | Football | News | Benayoun - I have had offers Liverpool ace Yossi Benayoun has revealed he has received offers from clubs in England and Spain, but insists he is happy at Anfield. The Israel international has enjoyed a memorable season, scoring nine goals in 42 appearances in all competitions to mark his most successful campaign. That form has caught the eye of a number of clubs, who are hoping to take advantage of the fact that Benayoun is not guaranteed a place in Rafa Benitez's first team. But the former West Ham player is adamant he does not want to leave Merseyside after two years and has indicated that he would welcome contract talks. …

The agent of Liverpool midfielder Yossi Benayoun has welcomed interest from Roma. "At the moment we are not in negotiations," Ronen Katzov told Radio Radio. "Benayoun is happy to play for Liverpool and there hasn't been any official approach for the player. "Anyway he believes Roma are an important club and he likes the Italian league. "But Yossi is fine at Liverpool and nobody told us about a possible transfer and no negotiations are in progress."

Out for a month :wallbutt: Reports in Israel today have confirmed that Liverpool midfielder Yossi Benayoun is set for a month on the sidelines after picking up a rib injury in the FA Cup defeat to Reading. Benayoun suffered a broken rib and will be unavailable to Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez for a month. The 29-year-old attacking midfielder has played 26 times for Liverpool this season, scoring seven goals and providing four assists. Benayoun was arguably the best performer for the home team at Anfield last night. It was a disastrous night for Liverpool both due to the defeat to the Championship side as well as injuries to star duo Steven Gerrard and Fer…

Reds confirm bid for Israel star Benayoun Jun 14 2007 by David Prentice, Liverpool Echo LIVERPOOL have launched a move for talented West Ham midfielder Yossi Benayoun. But the Reds today dismissed reports that their £1m offer has ‘enraged West Ham’ and is ‘insulting’. “I can confirm we have made an approach for Yossi Benayoun, but the figures quoted are completely wrong,” said Reds chief executive Rick Parry. “Other than that we don’t want to say any more.” Benayon was on the verge of signing a new £50,000 a week deal at Upton Park this week, but in the light of Liverpool’s interest has decided not to put pen to paper. West Ham are reported to …
