Anyone remember a reserve called Ian Connor from the Houlier era.

It's centred around the first team only, it only lists players that have appeared or been on the bench. Which is a heck of a lot of info if you're going back almost 120 years.

Unless he's very old, and under a false name, and is really the Ted Connor who (according to Wikepedia) played for the Mancs in the 1900s and 1910s and then went to Bury. He was born in Liverpool, so it could be him (if he's about 120).

We try to draw a pretty strict line on what players are listed on the site, only those who ever made on the bench or in the starting-lineup for the first team are listed.

 

If we add one or more who haven't gotten that far, we'd have to do them all since it could be completely unfair to all the others. And adding them all is more or less impossible. So there you go. Now you know why a kid like Weijl hasn't been added to the site (he hasn't even got a squad number yet).

 

As for Ian Connor, never heard of him.

Yeah i havent heard of him but it was something he said in his introduction to the course. Is there a way to find a list of previous reserves he was told he wasnt good enough so moved to Bury and then had a carrer ending injury. Apparently.

He said he was appart of the reserve set up had and argument with Houlier cos he said he wasnt good enough then he was sent out onloan to Bury on loan then after that went to Sunderland on a loan then got injured and was sold to Bury then he had a bad injury and never got chance to play again. He was a central Defender he said at his time they were playing at Southport.
