Disappointed Clutch are bypassing the North East, then again most bands seem to these days.

CD, Vista Chino are playing the Academy on the 6th of November.

Had a chat with someone today and allegedly the Biohazard thing is still meant to be going ahead. I'll keep you informed.

I saw Vista Chino, sorry Kyuss, I mean Kyuss Lives, 2 years back in Wolverhampton, and they were incredible. Definitely worth seeing.

What's the deal with Biohazard?

Apparently I'm gonna go and see Rotting Out / Street Prowl in Manchester, end of October.

Anyone else ? Only £10.

Where and when?

Just found it, 25th October at The Star & Garter, which is the best venue in Manchester. I might have to come to this.

A few lads I know went to see Kyuss Lives when they toured over here and said they were a bit disappointing. What did you think?

For me there is no Kyuss without Homme and Olliveri. I wouldn't mind seeing Brant Bjork though of he ever comes over here.

Also got my mates bird on the case for AIC tickets in November right now.

I'm shocked by that, as Kyuss Lives were just amazing. I can see what you are saying about it not being the same without Homme, but he was never the singer, so it would have been worse without Garcia being there. The whole band looked at ease with each other, without the ego of Homme ruining it for them all.

I've seen Brant Bjork a few times in very small clubs in Manchester as my mate has promoted him a few times, and he just pure class live.

Hope you get the AIC tickets.

Yeah it would just be another band if it had no Garcia. I took what they said with a pinch of salt as Kyuss are one of my favourite bands.

You ever listened to Hermano or any other of Garcia's other bands post Kyuss?

Hermano were another interesting band. His vocals are just amazing, but I preferred him with Unida. Shame I never got to see any of these live, but I'm hoping to go and see Vista Chino when they tour later this year.

Have you seen Nick Oliveri do his solo stuff live? Went to see him in Manchester once, and he was standing outside the Wetherspoons on Piccadilly Gardens before the gig, so we went up for a quick chat, seemed a decent bloke.

Anybody go to The Lomax tonight for the Metal toThe Massed final?

I take this as a no, but you need to check out the winners of the competition. They are off to Bloodstock to play for the chance to play at next years Wacken. I have watched this band from it's very inception (sitting off getting stoned in practice sessions) and to see them have the opportunity to get some proper well deserved exposure is a feeling of real pride.

At 1m48 you can hear me play 6 notes just slightly out of time. Just slightly.

"Senor Moreno's Plan" is my favourite tune by Hermano, I have an album by Unida as well, along with a Ten East one.

No, not seen any of Oliveri's solo stuff. I will be looking at checking it out. I have two Mondo Generator albums (A Drug Problem That Never Existed and Dead Planet) with Four Corners being one of my favourite tracks of that genre. I have seen and read a few interviews over the last couple of years with Oliveri, and I think he comes across as a decent fella.

Also got my ticket for AIC and Ghost in Novemeber as well. Is right.

Nic Oliveri did one gig in Manchester with Winnebago Deal as his band for the night, playing the Mondo albums, and it was just superb.

Just listening to Oceanis now, not bad stuff, what day are they playing at Bloodstock? I'm hoping to go for the Friday, as I've never seen King Diamond play.

They play the Sunday I think, will need to check with them.

That stuff is from the first EP, they are currently working on the next one and the tunes are more melodic and heavier. I will post a link up to the set from Friday that I recorded later when I have access to YouTube.
