Vieria comes on and tries acting the hard man whose the one to have a go at him - Mascherano.

Liverpool should get a penalty for handball whose the one shouting in the refs ear - Mascherano.

The lads a born winner and when he does pre-match interviews about willing to die on the pitch to get three points with a lot of players you know its just talk but with Mascherano who backs it up and runs about like a man possesed.

I hope he scores soon for Liverpool, ideally in front of the kop as it will be great to see his reaction.

He is world class. If he improves he could be perfect.

He is a fantastic holding player but he I wouldnt imagine he will ever hit the heights of someone like gerrard.

Gerrard for me is the ultimate midfielder. hopefully the 2 will get to play together for years to come.

Fucking hysterical bollocks.

Our best two players are Gerrard and Torres.

Masher is a fine player, and in many ways a typical Benitez signing: a footballer who will never win you a game, but works very hard to make sure you don't lose.

for me he is up there with those two. particularly on current form.

we're talking about an Argentinian international here who provides the defensive midfield duties to enable us to win games. he won't score a screamer from 30 yards but then i wouldn't bet on that part of his game developing as he's clearly improving game on game. It depends how much he's unleashed.

I would. He couldn't hit a bull's arse with a laser-guided banjo. He's a great holding midfielder. That's all he is. He isn't going to turn into Cesc Fabregas all of a sudden.
