I'm looking to buy two old classic LFC-shirts; the home- and away from 88, red and silver with the candy-ad. I had both as a kid, but those are now framed in my apartment.

 

Anyone know any good sites? And I'm talking both reliable and cheap!

Right, the red one is available again via re-issue on The Complete Guide to World-wide football shirts from Subside Sports and the silver is available from adidas in the US. Whether you can get hold of it on the internet I'm not sure.

I'm pretty sure the Offal shop have the Red ones in, I think some of them even carried Barnes' name on the back.

 

In magazines like FourFourTwo and World Soccer there are all sorts of ad's in the back pages of websites specialising in these types of shirts. If you can get hold of one of them mag's, Milan you should be in business.

I don't think the club has ever carried them. They should do a full back catalogue of our '80s stuff but they don't.

They were in The Offal not so long ago, when the black monstrsoty came out. Some had Aldridge, Barnes and Dalglish on the back.

They are pretty tight. Even if you're thin I'd recommend a large.

I´ve got both at home. Size 40-42 (L). If I remember right it´s quite wide but not that long.

im sure you can get both original shirts at classicfootballshirts.co.uk dont think they are too dear its the years before that where they start looking for silly money. hope that helps

i got my home top, the one digger has on as i type!

 

got it off subside, they are quick and reliable and if you check back or email them they should have more in.

 

I wish i could get the grey one, its my all time favourite kit.

I got the Grey one from EBay just before Athens. It was in good condition and set me back about £35. It is a small though the large where going for about £10 more. I want the 87-88 silver and the 85-87 white crown paints ones.

yeah ive got every home shirt since that Barnes one in the picture including this season, ive most aways too but i stopped getting them a couple of seasons ago. The Candy one's are from when I was like 6 or 7 so im never getting them on even after a month on crack id be struggling!
