Now the earliest it will be ready is September - expect a few more delays with everyone blaming each other for the delay - what an absolute fucking joke!

so basically enough to build four of these

allianz_arena2005.jpg

and still have enough to throw the mother of all opening parties.

Or to build SIX of these and still have change!!! (not sure why I couldn't insert the pic, tried a couple of times and have now given up!!)

yeah but neither of those two designs, and however many replicant versions that you build can do what wembley will be able to.

namely bring world peace, feed the worlds poor and open up space travel for the next century

well it was all in ken bates tender process so it should deliver

Not often the bookies get it wrong..

Bookmaker William Hill was offering odds of 7/2 that Wembley will not be ready for the 2007 FA Cup Final and odds of 1/6 that the stadium would stage the match.

It actually cost a fair bit more to build the millenium stadium. It also ran over budget (mainly cos of the roof).

It seems that its just in England where it costs a shit load to build new Stadia. I've been very impressed with the german ones throughout the world cup. Most built at a fraction of what it would cost us to relocate to Stanley park.

I don't know where you heard or read that, but I'm sure the Millenium cost less than £150m.

Millenium stadium cost around £126M, over budget and delayed but still a snip at that price.

I think the WRU paid about £90m for it as it was a very strict fixed price contract which the contractor signed up to because it was desperate for the work. The contractor ended up with about a £30m loss on the job.
