  2. While I am disappointed that Kenny Dalglish has not been given another year, I feel that sometimes it is better to let go of the past. For myself, I always look forward to a Liverpool game, particularly the Saturday 3PM kick offs. It makes or breaks my weekend, and my mood going into the following week. Win, and I am on a high. Lose, and I feel a bit low, but still look forward to the next game in the hope that things will be better. This season in the league, was, as we all know, not what we had hoped for. And what made it even sadder was to see the great man having to defend the poor results to the press afterwards. I don;t want to see KD do that, that is not him. Granted, there is no gaurantee that things may improve next season were he still in charge, but maybe he should have been given the chance to put right what was wrong this season gone. Personally, I want Liverpool to win every match, be successful, win trophies. Why? Because it makes me feel happy, puts me in a good mood, etc. Some of the things I have read on here about rather being unsuccessful with KD in charge rather than successful with somebody else as manager, I find that hard to understand, but nonetheless if those are the sentiments of some fans, then I do respect that, even though I completely disagree. Whoever takes over in the next few days/weeks, I do hope that Liverpool develop a footballing identity, a winning mentality and a no fear attitude. It is a huge task, and I hope that the owners find the right man for this.
  3. Positive bit: If we never expected that line up, then Stoke must be quite baffled too. Negative bit: Got 0-0 written all over it.
  4. You should become an economics lecturer sir.
  5. Agree with some on here who say it is a lack of confidence. He started well, but his presence in the side seems to be to make up the numbers. You hardly notice him in games, same with Henderson. Our on going problems in the wide areas has maybe put pressure on those two, which then has the knock on effect of affecting Carrol's form due to lack of quick, pacey, accurate crosses. I certainly hope Downing gets his mojo back, not just to improve the teams' goal tally, but for his sake too. When Carrol scored on Saturday, I was really pleased for him.
  6. Agree that he likes to keep it simple. Pace, wingers, attack the penalty box. Also strong, no nonsense defenders. I doubt that player for player there is little difference between us and them, but there is a huge gulf when it comes to attacking as a unit.
  7. I think we are all hoping for a Top 4 minimum as well. KD knows this, so I do not think there is any additional pressure on top of what he already has.
  8. A run of games at Rangers, experience of Champions league football (if selected!) will certainly do him good.
  9. Would like to see a three man attack of Kuyt, Carroll and Suarez, with Meireles tucked in behind them.
  10. Anyone got a video clip of the incident? She just got married as well.
  11. Just a poor all round performance I thought. West Ham were just more up for it than we were. Quicker to the ball, and winning the second ball more than we did. Their midfield bossed ours, and that is where we lost it. West Ham deserved their win. Good to see Suarez try a few things, as a positive.
  12. I think Cole would benefit from better players around him. There are other squad members that should be shipped out before we can think about Cole though.
