Although I’ve never seen us linked with him, every time I’ve seen him play (which admittedly isn’t much) I’ve thought Schlotterbeck looks a really good player. He was outstanding v PSG last night.

Thought I read the other day him and that lad at Fulham Tosun Adarbioyo had agreed deals with Newcastle

Last night was the first time you've ever noticed him

He'd be a decent backup player if you were looking to get rid of Tsimikas as well as providing additional cover at centreback if you were unsure of Konate's fitness/Gomez Future (in addition to another CB).

Think it's just 2+2=5 because Hughes is here (although he was on the list when we signed Tsimikas as well).

If Edwards and his Data is as good as its made out to be, we shouldn't really be spending a huge wedge on any individual. We should be snapping them son's a bitches up ahead of their potential.

Quite. If we wanted Kudus that much, we should have signed him last season.

He cost WHU c.£37m. Given we had unused funds from Caicedo & Lavia, we likely could have afforded him.

Kudus is a good player like, not sure he’s done enough to warrant a >100% mark up.

We tried that with Fabio Carvalho and Calvin Ramsay.

The problem with potential is that if you want to be successful you can't afford to be a testing ground for potential.

I think you can have a sprinkling of punts on cheap, talented kids like those two without affecting the budget much , but Kudus was more an option further up the chain probably instead of Gakpo or Gravenberch.

Maybe we wanted to see how well Kudus did in the Premier league first?

We did a similar thing with Sadio Mane and Gini Wijnaldum and Virgil Van Dijk.

I'd be pretty happy with something like

Kudus from West Ham and Antonee Robinson from Fulham.

Add one of the centre backs that's available on a free too.

Yeah I get that, but when you look at the squad now we have abousultely loads of young players with potential.

We need players that are ready to go, not more project players that might come good in a few years.

Not convinced on that about Wijnaldum and Mane, it's a somewhat moot point anyway, I think c.£85m is way too much for Kudus.

Robinson has had a good season. I'd hope we're aiming higher than those centre backs though.

I'd want 5 big ones knocked off the price for him spelling his name Antonee.

He does it so he's not confused with that bag of shite at the mancs.
