Jones’ biggest problem other than injuries is the constant “… will save Liverpool millions” stories that are in the press about any and all of our young players. There’s an instinctive backlash against any player mentioned because FSG are tight cunts.

 

He’s a really good player and showed us much when he got a run at the end of last season.

I don’t know. I’ve watched most of England’s games and he wasn’t England’s  best player - Jones, Colwill, Harwood-Bellis, Ramsey and Gibbs-White were all better.

If it wasn’t for the injuries, the stories might well have been accurate. 
 

We all need to be more patient. I’ve said it a few times in his thread - he’s come into one of the best sides in the world where the bar is higher than ever, he’s being asked to play a new position / learn on the job and he’d been having his development broken every few months with injuries. 

He might never be Steve Gerrard and have a side built around him, he can certainly be a useful squad option. 

 

Jones has always been a talented player and isn’t short of self confidence. He’s had some unfair stick from all angles the last couple of years - I’m made up for him for his end of the season and performances in this tournament.
