Didnt see most of the 2nd half, went out for a run.

Achterburg excelled himself on coaching the keeper on arsenal's penalty takers.

This isnt on the Walk of Champions for a reason.

Usual suspects going on about Williams and a 'drop off' from Trent. Yeah, when you have world class players in positions guess what? You're going to have a drop off when those players are missing.

It's always the same with these people, "We're not asking for £80m players, we just want decent back ups." Then when the back up plays, he aint good enough and "we want someone for £30m instead," blah, blah, fucking blah.

Well it just confirms to me that this team still needs work. Theres no way we are retaining the title with this same team.

Williams is not ready, Brewster will go out on loan, Firmino needs a serious kick up the arse and we need a plan b against low block teams with fast forwards.

Bobby has no competition simple as we need to wait a while once again to find form

Would have preferred to win it. But, it's not a huge miss not to. Some good signs. Minamino looked decent. Mané's still boss. As is Robertson. And Gomez had a good game too. We created chances and got more competitive minutes in the legs.

Negatives were Williams still looking a bit raw. And Keita was relatively poor when he came on. He tried to be a bit more progressive with the ball than the rest of the midfield, but he gave it away a fair bit. We can't really knock a Champions League and domestic league winning midfield, but I still think we need someone with a bit more creativity, as an option.

Not arsed about losing that shoot out.

But definitely arsed about our squad depth - Fabinho having to play centre half....No proper cover for front 3, we can't run them into the ground again this season.

Those things need fixing minimum.

It seems wrong to me we seem to not be interested in doing so.

Yeah we just can't do any better than the 11 we have. How did you survive the 70s and 80s?

Proper scraping the barrel from the Beeb....I’m sure one of the girls in the ticket office also left City for Arsenal as well

@BBCSport

For the second year in a row Liverpool lose the Community Shield on penalties to Mikel Arteta (he was Manchester City assistant last year).

Disappointed to be honest. Was really looking forward to that but it was a bag of arse.

The best thing by far was our goal (of course) but not just because we scored - because we passed it through them, 90s Arsenal style.

I really hope Tak and Keita get some games so that can happen a bit more.

Speaking of Keita I'm a fan of his but he needs to cut some of that wierd shit in our own half out. Right out!
