Have the rules on handball changed?

That's clearly not deliberate, Mané's arm is clearly not in an unnatural position, there's no way he could have avoided the contact and he didn't even benefit from it.

New stupid rule is any contact with hand - but only for attackers...defenders is still subjective

Bollocks

New handball rule for 2019 explained from the premier league offical website :

Quote:
Deflections
Premier League players will be allowed extra leeway when it comes to ricocheted handballs.

It is often impossible to avoid contact with the ball if it has deflected off the body of an opponent, team-mate, or even another part of the own player.

So a handball will not be awarded if the ball touches a player’s hand/arm directly from their own head/body/foot or the head/body/foot of another player who is close/nearby.

I can't believe this is basically the first time you drop your annoying as fuck "everything negative" shtick and it couldn't be at the worst time or more wrong.

Guess your shtick is just "being wrong all the time". We've had zero clear cut chances. Nothing even close bar a daisy cutter form outside the box.

What about Bobby from about 10 yards?

Forgetting the two Firmino chances then bell whiff?

What a shit half of football.

Appalling decision making, shit defending for the goal, Firmino and Origi offering nothing.. Big half time talk Jurgen

As others have said, we freeze there all the time. If Norwich can do City, then a team with some good players like these bastards can do us.

We are so superior but we are making guys like Young look good.

I've calmed a bit at half time and I think that the Mane call might just be right. There's no rational explanation for why their goal was allowed though. Especially when Atkinson has blown up for any niggly tackle we've done.

It didn’t look an obvious foul to be fair.

Yes. Any time the ball hits a players arm it will be disallowed.

Its the reason City had a late goal disallowed against Spurs.

Can’t play much worse second half.

Don’t know what the consensus is on here, but I don’t think origi was fouled in run up to their goal. He needs to be stronger there. No way Mane or Salah loses out like that, as easily.

need to show more energy and pass more quickly second half.
