I struggle to accept that paying £430 per month for a car can be considered too good to be true.

I could switch cars every other month at that rate and be making a profit doing so.

The whole everything you use essentially being a subscription is fucking mental.

It's fucking mental the money I spent on cars. Last one I had was over 500 sheets a month, got a good price for it when I sold it as I wasnt letting the manufacturer get a low miler in tip top condition so paid the final GMV.

Always had a brand new car since 1978. Even bought the old girl new cars. I look back now and think what a lot of wasted money and should have put more in the stocks and shares ISAs.

Dont get me wrong, I loved them new cars with all the toys, auto box, flappy paddles etc.

The day has come!  Work have finally approved the Octopus car scheme and it’s being launched this week.

I’ve being pushing it for ages and without wanting to sound like a zealot it is almost too good to be true.   I’d encourage anyone to try and get the scheme adopted at work, the range of cars is incredible and it’s possible to get a Tesla for £430 a month from your wage or a mini for £350.  That includes insurance, a second driver, tyre cover and any servicing costs.  It has virtually zero cost to your employer and octopus manage the lot (other than the changes to payroll).

Well, 7 months after I thought it was approved I’ve finally placed the order.

only 15 months to wait for delivery.

They’re telling you 15 months now, in 3 months you’ll be informed of a delay and with any luck you probably get it some time in 2025

You were nearly right, they’ve put the price up.

Once or for a second time… ???

there’s absolute carnage in the fleet world that prices are going up, discounts being pulled, delay after delay

My PCP is about to end. I’ve sold the car back to BMW for £6.5k more than the final payment. Happy days.

Just wondering if @dockers_strike would like to congratulate me?  I could also do with it cleaning before it goes back - mates rates.

Why would I do that? You're just a fucking hypocrite.

Same as you are over CS pension. You pension contributions will be more than some lads on here earn in a month.Pension.png

Like I said Sean, you want to remember what you post. It enforces the view of the cunt your are.

Oh well.

I did say I was hopeless with pensions, at least I was consistent! Yes, I guess they are.  I overpay now too.

Who is Sean?

My DAB radio has stopped working in my car. It's done this before but came back on eventually. But this time it's not. Anyone have any idea what's up with it? It's a VW Polo, only 7 years old (!)

I'll be honest this is probably the last place I'd ask this question, there's fellas on the 'hear me roar' thread bragging that they put a battery in the alarm clock.

BMW driver? Just fuck off.

One nearly knocked my Mrs over yesterday driving far too quickly on a 20mph  road that snakes through our estate.

She shouted 'slow down', he slams on, and shouts 'fuck off you old bag' then screeches off again.

When she got home a few minutes later she said 'it's happened'.

What's happened?

Someone's called me an old bag.

She was laughing, but what a fucking bellend.

Not buying but a maintenance question.

Put our 2011  206 through its MOT and got an advisory about the clutch. Just had it serviced and clutch aside it's in decent shape. However they were clear the clutch is going to go imminently.

Any mechanics on here can let me know what I'm looking at price wise here?
