People talking about him not making runs but the past 2 games hes spent a lot of his time dropping deep though to receive the ball and hold it up. Hes obviously been given a specific target/link man role which hes done ok at.

Plus factor in the fact that they parked the bus last night and hes not going to get many chances to make good runs.

He isn't a striker. He should be coming off the bench, occasionally, to play wide left.

I'm assuming he probably won't be starting another game up front for us for quite a while as Benteke is back and Sturridge will play a handful of games before we try to sell him next summer.

Oh what a tangled cunt we weave.

Always interested how a team can spend millions on a player who is meant to be a striker because they are useless at anything else but they are also shite at finishing. It's not really Origi I'm just having a go at here. It's players like Borini and similar around the league. You are shocked when they score after being one on one with the keeper. It's like N'gog against the mancs in the last minute that time. I was stunned when he scored. people talked about the 'false 9' like its e new tactic but the truth probably was that the player they played up front probably carried more of a goal threat than whatever specialist striker was available.

It was a massive punt buying this kid in the strength of a few games in the WC.

A product of the mental transfer policy and in all likelihood he will be worth fuck all and hard to shift when he gets fucked off next summer.

Buy every young player in sight, loan out and hope they come good. Rodgers cannot take all the blame for that.
