Out of all our midfielders he's still the one I think will be the best player in 3 years.  Henderson is never going to be much better than he is, which is to say decent but not great.  Can is at that same level right now, and quite inconsistent with it, but I think when he's 25 he will be quite good.

 

He needs to be backing up a couple of top players, though.  Learning from/plugging in alongside the likes of Alonso or Hamann instead of one of the mainstays of our central midfield.

Not sure what everyone's problem is with Can tonight. He did his job as the deepest midfielder to an acceptable degree.

 

He's 22 years old. He's already a decent player and chances are he will be much improved by his mid-twenties. And even if he doesn't improve one bit we only paid 8mill and we'll easily make a profit.
