They won't go this season.

But it is coming - make no mistake, it is coming.

And it’ll be all the sweeter for it! Even if they start cutting back on wages, sell their best players, and (whisper it) go on a long-ish domestic cup run, they’ll still be racking up huge losses which only plunge them deeper into debt.
There’s no strategy available to them anymore, beyond ‘Sink now’ or ‘Sink later’.
Compare them to Sunderland, compare them to Bolton, or doesn’t really matter, they’ve been living way beyond their means and it’s going to catch up with them horrendously.

Their accounts will make interesting reading in a few weeks.

The players who think they are better will want to leave and no decent player will want to waste his career there.

They'll be limited to Demerai Gray type signings, cheaper players who've out their way at other clubs and need a chance playing regular football.

I'll be amazed how they think they can carry on now without their record shirt deal, no sleeve sponsorship, paying another 30m for the stadium and without three Russian sponsors who are worth around £30m.

They might get some wages off the books this summer but their only income will be the tv deal, their small matchday revenue and their remaining sponsors.

Again missing out on CL football (don't laugh) and any European football which is a lot less than the CL.

They won't be getting back any of the £45m they paid for Sigurdsson or any other of their over inflated signings. Dele Alli will probably be stuck on 19 games effort being sent back to Spurs to avoid paying the transfer fee.

When their accounts are revealed in a couple of weeks, that could be the moment that the 'powers-that-be' are waiting for, being out to get them, and kick them when they're down, with a points deduction.

But, but... the Superleague six got nothing given against them. Conspiraceeeeeee!!!

Scenes in the Brick

"What will it be mate?"

"Pint of Stella please."

"We're out of Stella mate, ran out last night. Fancy a pint of Heysel??"

39 pints please lad, if you're gonna use someone else's tragedy for a bit of insincere point scoring against your local rivals as they're soooooooo much better than you then you've got to do it properly.

They just can't see how using a tragedy like they do with Heysel to score points against us is so fucking disrespectful to those poor people who died, their families and the survivors.....

Consumed by bitterness.

Sad gets.

Today's instalment of "What would the Everton board do?"

They don't have a contract with Laing O'Rourke to build the Unicorn Bowl.

"Everton are yet to sign deal with Laing O'Rourke for new stadium" https://www.goodisonnews.com/2022/03/12/alan-myers-everton-are-yet-to-sign-deal-with-laing-orourke-for-new-stadium/?amp

Not actually having a contract with a construction company is such a small detail….

Also, surely they all come from County Rd?

I just think it's great for them that the entirety of their Dutch supporters club were able to make the journey.
