Great band, saw them once which was a brilliant gig, i loved the rawness of them. The split has been coming as they cancelled their last tour due to Megs nerves, she's really shy.

Excellent movie on them if anyone hasn't seen it called Under the Great Northern Lights, a must if you're a fan, like me.

Great band. One of the best of the last decade and they in White Blood Cells and Elephant, they leave behind two superb albums.

Got a hell of a lot of respect for Jack White. It's hard not to admire his work ethic, skill and creative drive. Brilliant musician.

I think he went up his own arse too much, he believed the hype.

Dont get me wrong it must be hard not too but he had about 3 side projects on the go at one time.

I saw them play the Royal Court and they were amazing and I saw them at Reading in 02 and they were ace.

When they started headlining festivals it went a bit west

Didn't realise that I thought I heard it somewhere they were brother and sister. My mistake thanks for putting me right.

Still prefered their earlier stuff though.

Loads of people think they were related, heard a D.J on the radio say it the other day. The confusion was always there as they kept pretty quiet and they enjoyed the mixup it caused.

To anyone who doesn't get them, just think on this: Chros Moyles doesn't get them either.

Do you really want to be like Chris Moyles?

He says that the guitars often sound like Lard's comedy guitaring for the Shirehorses; and to be fair, if anyone would know about stuff trying to sound like Mard & Lard but failing then it'd be him.

*Thinks of his parody songs and shudders*

I could take them or leave them.

Sorry to take this off topic, but one thing that I was extremely disappointed with was 'It Might Get Loud'. Along with Jimmy Page and The Edge, Jack White took part in the biggest load of up their own arse navel gazing claptrap I think I ever saw. It just went nowhere, slowly. I was really looking forward to it, but truly struggled to watch it to its long winded end.
