I'm wrecking my own head lately, i'm looking at getting a new prepay phone but don't want to have to sell my body to get one (500 a night, love you long time). Soooo if i get a budget phone with wi-fi does that mean i can get the dinternet for free in wi-fi free zones. Yes thick question but my head is mushed.

I'm looking at this one Samsung Galaxy Europa GT-i5500 Review | Mobile Phones | CNET UK

I take very kindly to wonderful advice even if can recommend me a different phone. Thanks.

What you can do, if it's PAYG that you're after, is get yourself a handset and a sim from giffgaff. I went onto them a while back, and it's been superb. You can just buy credit and use it as normal, or you can buy a goody bag, which lasts a month and gives you minutes, texts and internet. In October they were doing something like 100meg free internet a day if you topped up, so I got the £10 top-up in October, and have free internet until the end of Feb, and haven't spent a penny more since. That way you can use 3G and not have to rely on being in a WiFi spot.

Phone-wise there's loads, the Orange San Francisco is popular at the moment, or if you don't mind used you can pick up the Palm Pre on EBay for less than a ton if you're lucky, which is a great 'phone. The girls will be along later to talk you into buying an iPhone.

If you connect via wifi it is free on t'internet.

i can recommend the HTC Widfire if you want a basic phone that does everything you need. the only thing it really falls down on is screen resolution, but if you are not watching films on it, it really isn't an issue.

So i just get charged for downloading if i use the free wi-fi?

Nope films wouldn't bother me at all, i'll have a look into that one. Thanks RiS.

It's about this time that i mention i live in ripoff Ireland. Someone mentioned that Orange phone, if i got my hands on it i could unlock it. Ooooh the decisions. Bloody Iphones and HTCs are just too dear, i'm just looking for a decent clever phone with wi-fi.

Thanks Testicles, oh and thanks to you as well TesticleoReilly.
