As you all know I said Barry was a done deal, and I still honestly believe the club thought they had him. I'll throw my hands up and say I was wrong.

The one thing that makes me not want to post anymore players coming/going is Man City.

Jesus, they have some serious money and can pay some crazy wages, scary thought who they could get.

Al you can only post in good faith and that is what you have done but with anything there are always twists and turns.

City will end up in the top four, maybe not next year but they will eventually make it, too much money for them not to do so.

`

As for Barry he chose the money, so fuck him, all the Champions League talk was just bullshit.

It could have been worse those that bought City could have chosen Everton, that would really have been painful.

Thank you citeh!

That said, Im convinced benitez let it be known barry wasnt a big target for us this year which is why we only bid £8m (if reports are correct).

I have been saying that from the get-go. If Rafa really wanted him he would of bidded higher. Knowing him though and his infinite database of players, he probably has a backup target for the backup target.

I have a feeling we will do well this summer with Rafa at the helm.

To be fair to Barry,if Rafa had come out and said Xabi is staying and Masch the best in the business, then Gerrard , he's probably thinking he's only going to replace Lucas, that means waiting for injuries to players or playing in lesser games. If I was him I'd be thinking how often I'd play for Liverpool. Then City offer him stupid wages and guaranteed first team football along with God knows who they are going to buy this summer then going to City is not the backard step we all think it is.It's probably a step up from Villa anyway.

Don't feel bad - most of us did not believe you anyway. Someone who virulently expresses his personal hatred of the LFC manager and jumps on every anti-Rafa bandwagon in the gutter press, as you have done, is hardly a reliable source of information at what goes on at a classy club like LFC. The only people who treated your ridiculous reports as though they might be credible were those who shared your hatred of Rafa or who come on here to participate in stupid conspiracy theories.
