  1. He is not a legend but he gave us 5 years and is one of few players in the world who could take Gerrard's place in midfield and us not notice a huge difference in quality there. He also playes some amazing games for us and has been the fans player of the year too. He was magnificent in Turn on his game back from injury, and great against the shite when Gerrard was sent off... lesser players have been given cult status. He may not be a legend in the Kenny and Digger mould but he certainly deserves a tribute.
  2. The chances are though, those players can unlock the door against stubborn games and be the difference whereas Kuyt rarely plays well against packed defences. Its easier to play well when the team is playing well... Arshavin for example is a magnificent player and a few leagues above Kuyt.
  3. We are now a Muslim owned company? Hurrah.... queue several "Mohammed" songs on the Kop... I am going to the first home game in a long Arab robe. You can come and take pictures with me stood by Dave selling TLW.
  4. Kuyt doesn't have the attributes I look for in an attacking place which is reasonable pace, creativity and skill... hence why he isn't my cup of tea. He also goes through several months a season in poor form and has probably stunk the place out just as much he has had good games since he has been here. That's my opinion and there is nothing irrational about it in my OPINION.
  5. So the two full back spotted by Macia last summer have not done well for us?
  6. Sunderland have spent more than us these past 5 years?
  7. Nah go on Andy. I hated them both from day one, I've grown to hate hate Hicks more as its his sorry fat arse I keep seeing on Sky Sports. He is also the cunt who fucked up Corinthians, made the Weetabix comments and is one of the most hated men in American Sport (by fans).
  8. The point of this is that "Maldini" seems to think that Rafa shouldn't be accountable for the spending as the money was borrowed by the owners. He lives on Planet Zorg.
  9. I'd rather keep Gillett than have Hicks - Gillett has done far better with his clubs than Hicks has too.
  10. I can't imagine Alonso causing a shit storm, so no comments will be made by him. The same went for Ayestrian - but that was probably in the compensation terms. It's over lets move on, I hope we learn from it.
  11. So are we saying managers should not be judged on money they spend if that money that was borrowed by the owners? Ha ha.
  12. Wherever the money came from, Rafa spent it and is accountable for it. The owners may have borrowed the money but they will have to pay it back somehow, Rafa won't have to pay a penny back despite spending it. End of story. Whether we spent as much as we did under Moores is irrelevent, Rafa has spent more than the other 3 NET since the two clowns came here which was the discussion. Now don't come running into debates and totally miss the point.
