We really need a new left back next season.

Re-signing Aurelio was madness in so many ways, first of all he is always injured and second of all when he is not he`s not very good, certainly not good enough to excuse his injuries.

No. Purslow and Roy offered him a two year deal after he originally turned the pay as you play deal down.

I don't think that's correct, not one other club took a gamble on Aurellio, so he took the deal that we offered earlier that summer, there may be a weekly basic lets say £5k as there always is a basic in those type of deals, but the rest is based on him been available for selection and fit, not when he plays or isn't selected due to form etc

  • 9 months later...

Is he contract performance related when it comes to games played?

His contract is up again in the summer and we have now several options at LB, Enrique, Robinson, Johnson, Flanagan etc

I can fully understand why Aurelio is not getting a game if he cost us less without.

Well here is he ——— arriving in training some days a go. Also he is signaturing "thumbs up".

I agree that we should get rid of him very soon. But I think Mister Dalglish recognizes pride. Aurelios contract has already been terminated in recent times. Mister Dalglish will make certain that next time for Aurelio it will be a proud farewell.
