I was there when he scored his first goal(s) against Wigan. It was a great criac that day. Everyone was made up for him.

The undead are gutted. That first goal against Wigan and the celebration after it - one of the Count's favourite moments as a red in the last couple of years. Carry on fighting the good fight for long lads with a good touch everywhere, Crouchie. Long legend.

Crouchy was great for us. Scored some cracking goals- particularly the scissor kicks- and was a great lad who the other players (especially Gerrard) seemed to like.

I wasnt impressed when we signed Crouch from Southampton, especially as he didnt score for 18 games. But once Benitez stopped asking him to play the 'hold it up' man be really blossomed. So much that actually disappointed he didnt get more games last season and is now leaving us.
