Went out Friday night. Pre planned and came home Saturday when agreed for a kids birthday. Took daughter to another kids party and when kids went to sleep so did I at around 1830. Not been spoken to since, what are women’s problems?

Got the Decree Nisi through yesterday so it could be all over by the end of February.

 

Just got to sort out the financial settlement, which is pretty much agreed but needs to be rubberstamped by the court before it's legally binding, so I don't want to jinx it. I wouldn't put it past her to change her mind or ask for more at the last minute.

After a rough Xmas and New Year at home I was reading this thread with a glass in my hand the other night. I nearly bumped it to ask how you were getting on- hope everything works out how you want it to.

I’m a lot better than I was a few months ago and I now feel I’m on the up. As sad and painful as divorce is (and believe me it is) I can now see a path forward. My girls are ok, I’ve got a sound new girlfriend and I’ve looked back enough, time to look forward.

 

I hope you are ok, sounds like you’ve been going through some hard times yourself lately?

Better now thanks mate, we’ve cleared the air. Bit of tension built up with being at other people’s or having guests and not really sorting out minor disagreements, culminating in a massive blow up last weekend and me getting out of the car on the way to her parents for her birthday dinner. We then didn’t talk for four days which is the longest row we’ve had in our 9 years together. With a beer in your hand at 1am you start to wonder if you’re going to sort it out, if you’ve got deep problems, hence reading this again.

 

That said, we had a decent chat and hopefully things will be better from now on.
