It's superb. Walter Matthau was an incredible actor. Brilliant with Jack Lemmon in particular- The Fortune Cookie especially is just genius, and he's outstanding in it.

Have you seen Charlie Varrick? Superb Walter Matthau film

I thought I had, but looking at the synopsis, I don't think so. I'll have a look for it, thanks.

It's on YouTube, in about DVD quality-

Watched Spiderman 3 (2007) with the kids & although it's a bit of a mess, it's nice to watch a superhero film that isn't two & a half hours of crap jokes followed by a battle to save the universe.

The Act of Killing. Harrowing stuff. Worth a watch, but quite shocking how a bunch of murdering rapists look back on their days of torturing and executing suspected communists with fond remembrance. Every single one of those fuckers needs to burn in hell.

What wedding dance bollocks? It’s quite a recent movie. Wedding dances have been going since the stone ages

I’m not on about a first dance a couple have to ‘our tune’.

The prepared, practiced and cringeworthy bollocks people started to do in the hope it would go viral.

This shite.

The Holdovers 7/10

I quite enjoyed this but it started to lose my attention towards the end, IMO, could have been 30 mins shorter. Giamatti and the lad in it were very good.

American Fiction 6/10.

Mildly amusing in places. Ridiculous ending.

Tony has negged me in the past for far less controversial opinions. I think I got negged once for saying I’m not keen on gum soled trainers.

Never watched Wolf of Wall Street, and despite the presence of the heavenly Margot Robbie I have no intention of doing so.

It doesn't appeal to me in any way, shape or form.

Same with stuff like the Godfather trilogy, Goodfellas, Casino etc etc. Just don't float my boat.

I'm with you on the last part, seen bits of Goodfellas but that's it.

The Wolf of Wall Street doesn’t make my Scorsese top 10 or 15. I didn’t dislike it, but I felt I’d seen the “greed is good” thing before with Gordon Gekko in Wall Street.
