The end to Midnight Meat Train, OMFG. Only time I've switched off a film five minutes from the end. The rest was okay.

Was a few years ago when i watched it. Just remember the gore being a load of crappy cgi, and Vinnie Jones trying and failing to be menacing. The ending was fucking daft too, from what i can remember.

No country for old men 2-10. Total wank. 2 marks for a decent baddy, but the film was slow with a shite ending. Seems any old shite can get an oscar.

Super 8 - Pretty enjoyable over all. But is kind of all over the place, and the monster is a real let down. Could have been more scares and less explosions. And that fucking lens flare, beyond retarded. 6/10....loses a point for the lens flares, because once you see them, you can't unsee them.

Good, enjoyable, a bit creepy too. Enjoyed how the chronology fit into place with the other Apes films.

Crisp and spartan, beautifully and delicately played.

 

Unmistakeably Scandanavian; delightfully ambiguous coming of age film, touching on puberty, self-harm, bullying, and loneliness.

 

Really, really enjoyed it.

Loved the concept, brilliant juxtaposition, but a very, very average film.

 

A good cast and decent effects are just let down by a lack of action, a lack of imagination and a lack of ambition.
