  1. Congratulations to the Celtics, the best team all year won. The TLW league will probably need re-structuring next year, and a new commish for sure. Black Monday has come, but not for Jim Schwartz unfortunately. Gutted he's still in a job.
  2. Congrats to the victors in fantasy land. Phelgms gave it a go but ultimately not enough strength there. Did well to just make the playoffs. Best of luck in the final lads.
  3. Sorry Malarkey, but those two teams don't have any games left to play. So that's an automatic veto I'm afraid. There's only the top four for the playoffs, and next four for the consolation places left playing.
  4. Green and Little for Moore seems fair. If it's done in time.
  5. Unlucky old bean. If it's any consolation, Mendenhall didn't waste much time in fumbling his way out of a job, the bum. Also, the mere fact that Seattle D plays Arizona this weekend pretty much guarantees you victory in our matchup. I'd guess 30 points wouldn't be unrealistic for them, even if Skelton's back.
  6. Apparently it's LB Jovan Belcher. In front of the head coach and GM. Or so the story goes at the moment.
  7. Chiefs player apparently involved in a murder/suicide this morning. Killed his girlfriend and then went to the practice facility before killing himself. Grim.
  8. Yeah, that latest episode was just brilliant.
  9. Yeah. The only reason I've let Harvin go is because of his health. He could well play this weekend, but I've been holding onto Demarco Murray all season and he mightn't even play next week. Can't trust any injury news at all. Roethlisberger is bound to be back for the Ravens game... or at least that's probably the plan.
  10. Yeah fuck it, why not. Hopefully the Rapist will be back next week.
  11. Thanks for the cowgirls though Neko. You should post in here more often...
  12. Don't go there. The most reviled commissioner in history. Worse than Stalin.
  13. Careful Now. Work is a pig lately so I'm only getting on the net after 6 in the evening. Good trade. Needless to say my team are all available for trade but nobody would want them cos they're shite.
  14. I don’t appreciate accusations of screwing any team over. There are other teams in the league besides yours. The point of anyone being ‘commissioner’ is to try and maintain the integrity of the league, ie, to try and make sure that trades are relatively fair. There’s obviously a subjective element to that. However, I don’t see how a starting QB for a guy who can’t get on the field and who has scored only 12 points in 9 games (besides NO) is a fair trade. Whether you’re doing each other a favour or not, it should surely be a reasonably even trade.
  15. I know you might be sick of Cutler at this stage, Dave, but c'mon! Cutler - starting QB, 96 fantasy points. Uncertain to play Week 11 but still a chance. Meachem - 4th receiving option at best for the Chargers, 31 points (majority of that in one game against his old team). Lost his job to Danario Alexander. Played 8 snaps last weekend. You dropped him to waivers a little over a week ago, and he's only got 8 yards since. That's a trade that should be evened up to make it fair. I don't want to veto (especially as I'm playing the Bad News Bears this week) but I'm going to have to. And any trades that aren't reasonably equitable from now on will get vetoed.
  16. The Violent Phlegms are hanging in there with a .500 record, with a bit of a shock victory over The Lads this week. The likes of Heyward-Bey, Titus Young, Shane Vereen coming out on top against Nicks, Decker, McCoy, Ryan et al... If we had everybody healthy we'd be a challenger, I'm sure of it.
  17. I had Ivory towards the end of last year in fantasy. Good player. Unlucky situation to be in at the Saints - being inactive most of the season.
  18. Some ace bits in that film and the girl was lovely. I think Hollywood already remade it once; some anonymous, charmless pile of schlock out a few years ago.
  19. Congrats on that, wasn't too difficult this week for you. Almost every one of my players are currently injured. The amount of questionables before yesterday was hilarious. My hands were tied, couldn't do anything with that lot. And then Jordy Nelson plays and injures a different bit of himself. It's akin to throwing in the towel when that happens. I can't be dropping 3 or 4 good players just for one week, with cack replacements. This is where my problem with the bench size comes in. I HATE 5 on the bench. Season before last when there was 6 was far better. Yes it limits waiver options, but the waiver wire is shit as it is anyway. it also gives you the chance to stash a good prospect and cope with injuries. All in all though, I think we probably should look to shorten the league next year. People have been saying it for a few seasons and 16 teams is too many. There seems to be a serious shortage of running back options this season compared to last year too. Another thing I think we should think about would be Waiver Acquisition Budget. You'd bid for a player instead of it just going to the worst team, and you'd have a budget for the season. It'd mean you'd have to choose wisely, rather than just pick up whoever every week. I've never done it, but it's bound to be better than the current system.
  20. Looper - 8/10. Surprisingly good. Surprising, as in it actually had the odd turn I didn't expect, and it didn't try and spoonfeed every fucking thing like so many films do these days. Total Recall (the shit remake). 1/10. Bland, generic, characterless shite and a disgrace to share the same title as Verhoeven/Arnie's trashy, b-movie-esque original. It just about gets a 1 only because Biel and Beckinsale both have lovely bottoms.
  21. Gillian's mad as a snake, but at least there's some kind of logic to her most recent actions, twisted though they were. I personally love Rosetti's character. Thought the 3 or 4 minutes he was on-screen in the latest episode completely made it. Warning! The following content is NOT WORK SAFE. Click the Show button to reveal. I have a feeling he'll be killed off before the season is out, though. He just seems too mad and volatile. I'll be gutted if he is. And that Joe Masseria is a really cold-blooded, brutal-looking bastard too. The scene with him and Rosetti, and Rosetti's scene in the church were just great in the last episode.
  22. Yeah no worries. I only noticed it this week because I had 5 or 6 in my squad who fumbled, the sods.
