I'm not sure what they'll do if they do buy Bellingham etc as they aren't really going to help at the back. Either we find a new way of setting up tbe team and maybe playing with conventional fullbacks. 

 

4231 seems a obvious move as it gets us 4 players in attack and a extra player holding

I think he's trying too hard to stick it right in the corner to give the keeper no chance. He needs to realise he's playing against Stefan, not Alisson. Just get it on target and it's probably a goal.

Under the cosh so to be level is fine. Happy that Nat is in on Haaland, even with no pace, at least he has a bit of mental fortitude, unlike Gomez who had bent the knee early. 

 

Our midfield, and Carvalho look too light and one paced to compete. 

 

Nunez should be doing better with the chances. I feel penalties and another Kelleher masterclass is our best hope.

The lack of protection from the midfield to the defence is the problem - fix that and we'll be ok.....it never used to be a problem when we had midfielders who could press/had legs and could cover the spaces/danger and anticipate danger/snuff it out.

 

If we don't fix midfield then yeah we have to find a different way of playing.

Yeah sadly he isn't quick enough for us and how we play - but as a pure defender he is decent
