It's hardly revelatory is it, Lucas stinking the place and the team out? Milner hasn't had a decent game for weeks now, and Allen wasn't good either, but he was having to cover Lucas's arse as well as try and do something going forward. That midfield is nowhere near good enough to win a league, and Henderson's comeback isn't really going to change things - he's not really good enough either.

You go girl.

We can only hope.  Maybe we can persuade some foolish English team with their coffers full of TV money to give us 20m or so.

But probably not until this summer at the very earliest.

It's baffling. Yes he is a better player than Andy Carroll but it was clear as day that we were making the same expensive mistake all over again. Bacca would have been a far better and much cheaper option.

Oh well. I think it has to be accepted that for the moment Klopp has to work with what he's got. Until he can bring in some really strong characters of his choosing the glaring weaknesses will remain.

and for those that thought we was going to  thrash everyone we played that should keep your feet on the ground.....shit happens bad day at the office onto the next game

Well Said

Some fans getting far too carried away. Klopp is a world class manager, He's not a magician, He needs time to shape this squad before we find that consistency.

Perhaps they thought Klopp would stick with what worked well and not revert to what has proved to not work?

true but we cant win every game we will slip up along the way.......was it a game we should have won yes but it might just bring that huge expectation back to a real level  it has with me

I think Klopp will have learned a thing or two about his players today. Not enough character, not enough balls and killer instinct displayed by some when they should have plenty of confidence. So not a total waste of time.

I think he may have learned a bit about himself there too.

We just started poorly (spastic corner) and never once raised our game to deal with a shite Newcastle team as the grew in confidence.

That game today was all about hitting them fast and hard and he picked the players least equipped to do that. Whether Klopp thought being away from home it required a a more cautious approach I have no idea but playing two stoppers and leaving Benteke lumbering around on his own and isolated was wrong,  Origi should have been alongside and Lallana in instead of Firmino who did the square root of fuck all. That said Benteke missed a sitter, we had a goal disallowed and Skrtel gifted them a lead . We started that game with no players , other than the full backs and Ibe with any pace, Its not enough even against dog shit like Newcastle
