Shit songs that remind you of boss times/ moments

Reckon this has potential to be a good thread. As the thread title, says which shit songs- despite you full well knowing they're shite- have the capacity to take you back to a boss time or moment, and so always manage to draw a smile when you hear them?

I was on the way home from work just then and 'Locked Out of Heaven' by Bruno Mars came on. I'm not into him or his stuff in the slightest, but it's a song which takes me back- funnily enough, it was around this time last year- to one of my best mate's getting married in the States. It was the night before the wedding, at the rehearsal do held in this laughing bar in Rhode Island overlooking this gorgeous lake. It was a really nice night weather-wise and it was the first time every guest at the wedding was together under the one roof and everyone, having travelled from all over the show, was just in a great mood and really keen to let their hair down. It was one of those nights when everyone was on top form buzzing off each other and I remember there was a band playing (who despite being boss themselves) were playing all typical chart pop stuff. It's not what I'm particularly into myself, but it was just one of those times when you have to go with it and get involved. 'Locked Out of Heaven' was one of the songs the played and, for some reason, that's the one that sticks in my head more than most and reminds me of the first of a boss couple of days.

So, GF, anyone else have any turd songs that manage to take you back to a great time/ moment?

I can remember watching my brother dancing with about 20 girls to Starships by Nicki Minaj at an engagement party a few years ago, he was going fucking mental & I was pishing myself at the bar.

Also, I had my first snog to that Bryan Adams song off Robin Hood so that always brings back happy memories, even though it's worse than having your ears syringed with Tizer.

'Don't Get Me Wrong' by the Pretenders.  for some reason I always associate this with all day drinking sessions around Christmas time at what used to be the "Why Not?" pub in Harrington Street.

Reward by Teardrop Explodes. Christmas Eve during the day in The State with all the girls from the office. Off my box on cheap wine. Stayed out all night - got in about 4am on Christmas morning. Me mum didn't speak to me for days cos I "ruined Christmas."

Ace times.

I used to work in the offices above The State - used to listen to the music blaring out of the PA most days.

Staying out for the Summer by Dodgy.

Reminds me of the hot summer of 95, half way between A levels, good bunch of lads and girls as mates and care free times boozing it up. Whosever parents went away we then just dossed around at for weeks on end. Probably the final year of total non responsibility

No was a fan of the tune, it just always seemed to be on

Best hamburgers ever made were sold in there. What a place that was. I remember seeing Morrisey in there one Monday night. Didn't speak to him the miserable bastard would have put me on one.

Don't look back in anger by Oasis. Remember buying the album when I was a about 14. Listening to that track over an over in the morning then had one of the best days of my life. Went across to the Wirral on the ferry and fingered some wool bird haha

"Is it cos I'm cool?"

The song came out in 2004 and I spent that summer touring Europe as as fresh faced 18 year old and heard it non stop.

You were born in 1986? Christ.

And anybody who says Reward by Teardrop Explodes is shit is a right wrong'un. Not you of course Jairz as it was before you were born.

Shakes head in disbelief once more.

Sisqo - Thong Song. Reminds me of a trip to Amsterdam where you couldn't escape it. If I heard it now I'd probably feel instantly stoned. Boss trip, boss days, when most of the lads were unattached and could actually spend their money how they wanted and take trips abroad.

Faithless - Insomnia

I seed to pull a different tart every week when this came on in Club IQ back when at 6th form.

Can we change the thread title to simply 'tunes' as some of these - including this one Col- are fucking ace.

Anyway, was listening to this today. It made me smile as it reminded me of when me and the missus first started going out, sitting in my flat in Ealing chilling out on the sofa after a club.

Modjo - Lady

I heard this walking through a shopping centre this morning & it reminded me of this shit club I used to go to after work on a Friday & where I eventually pulled this amazing bird I'd been after for ages.
