A 47-year-old man broke a ban on him approaching young men and touching their muscles, a court has heard. Akinwale Arobieke, of Toxteth, Liverpool - known as "Purple Aki" - was jailed in 2003 for harassment. Liverpool Crown Court heard Mr Arobieke asked a 17-year-old to show him his biceps - after a Sexual Offences Prevention Order (Sopo) was imposed. Mr Arobieke denies approaching the boy and breaching the Sopo in June last year, two months after it was made. The court heard Mr Arobieke had a "predilection" for approaching young men and touching or feeling their muscles. His reputation had spread across north-west England and was considered by many to…

A number of clubs are tracking Liverpool midfielder Yalany Baio, Sky Sports understands. The 19-year-old joined the Reds from Benfica in 2011, and is well thought of at Melwood. The tough-tackling midfielder is being monitored by a number of clubs in England, whilst there is also interest from Holland and France in the Guinea-Bissau-born star. Baio, who is out-of-contract at Anfield at the end of the season, could move out on loan. Lee Payne of Full Contact told Sky Sports: "Yalany is a talented player, and has a great presence that would be welcome in any dressing room. "He remains contracted to Liverpool for the time being, but in all probability may…

...they're pretty shit, aren't they? C&A set the bar pretty fucking high so our owners and those of Villa, Arsenal and United have got some way to go before reaching those levels of shitness but all of them are unpopular with their clubs supporters. In fact I'd say we're probably the most supportive of our American owners but they're not covering themselves in glory by any means. Should yank businessmen stick to their own football and leave ours alone?

now i want them out as much as the next lad but... all i want when i'm having a bevi and just starting my night out is some pissed, long haired tool who just happens to be foaming at the mouth trying to get the pub on about the yanks. OK it was match day, and OK it was in the albert but on a day when the pub is full of visitors and they only seem to know the words to the torres bounce and when the reds go marching in it's not the right time to start all that. then when people who are trying to get an atmosphere and get everyone ready for the match the cunt starts chanting giving them all stick for being 'woolys'. no mate, we're out for a good night, not a fully blown …

How about, a 1,000 of our supporters on the Kop give their tickets to a 1,000 Mancs who then proceed to make a racket and wave their 'Glazers Out!' banners and the like for 90 minutes at one of our games (no footy songs allowed, obviously). Meanwhile, a 1,000 of our supporters are at their ground at the same time doing the same thing against Hicks & Gillett in the Stretford End. Fucking genius or what?

Found this on YNWA investment thread, I dont understand what it will all mean. Anyone? :| The Americans are buying the 50% of the LFC web site that Granda own - £15 million I believe. The question is, are they doing tnhis because they aren't going anywhere or because it makes the value of LFC go up accordingly if they sell?

Liverpool board would block mortgage attempts - Barclays Premier League - ESPN Soccernet By Harry Harris, Football Correspondent September 7, 2010 Liverpool's owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks attempted to refinance their loans this summer by mortgaging the club's remaining assets - the stadium, training ground, players and guaranteed TV revenues. There are fears the American owners might attempt another refinancing deal ahead of the October 6 deadline to repay £237 million owed to Royal Bank of Scotland, plus the £60 million of additional fees run up since April. But the rest of Liverpool's five-man board would - once again - legally block any attem…

I could have put this in the transfer thread, but i didn't want to because it will be lost in the plethora of rabble, and i rarely start new threads. Anyway, i've been reading a few articles on-line tonight and it seems Rennes have announced an agreement is in place to let Yann M'Vila go in the summer. Now im not about to proclaim to be an expert in French football, as i don't have any real interest in it - but i look out for Lille's results these days just to see how Joe Cole and Eden Hazard are doing. As such i read the odd bit about the other teams and players - and this guy really seems like the real deal. If he's available - we should be interested. Our Dir…

My little cousin has just got a job as Groundsman at Melwood. So any future signings that come through the gates or goings on should be passed onto me pretty swiftish. One thing that surprised me was the fact that they still have to pay for tickets but get a set amount they can buy for each game. He's a blue so tickets should be aplenty for moi for the games I struggle to get tickets for as well. I'm more pleased than he is about him getting it.

Sky reckon Yaya Toure's agent claims he has already signed a deal with a Premier League club although he would not say where the Ivory Coast international will be playing next season. Who do you think it is? It must be City. I reckon if Barca were to move for Mascherano, Toure would be absolutely vital to get in the deal.

If Yaya Toure is worth £30m* then how much is Javier Mascherano worth, especially if he has a good World Cup? There might be a bidding war for him. * speculation according to Daily Mail and Spanish press saying 35 million euro fee has been agreed between Barcelona and Man City
