Apparently, a player's medical doesn't have to happen before the 11pm deadline - just the contracts need to be signed before the deadline, according to tariq panja ‏@tariqpanja. I did not realise that.

 

The medical isnt a formal part of a transfer. Clubs usually have one done for insurance purposes and to see if the player has no injuries.

 

A medical doesnt need to be done for a transfer to be completed.

Looks like sturridge was interested in coming here but wanted a permie move while we only wanted a loan according to the wail.

 

Dont understand the strategy of fucking Carroll off when no one is agreed to be coming in. Fuck's sake, this really will be a shambles.

 

And I still dont want that twat dempsey or his fucking no mark club getting a penny from us.

What a fucking yoke! A week ago Rodgers was quoted saying he would be a nutcase to let Carroll go unless another striker came in. Now we're doing just that. For all the tough talk from Rogers when he came in, it seems that his control over transfers is minimal.
