I didn't realise he was 23. He's 2 months older than Paul Pogba! To be more productive than Lallana isn't much of an ask though is it really? Fuck knows. The odds are against him making it aren't they? I thought Suso looked the part at one point and his career didn't exactly go as planned. If he can't break into the team this season with a massive injury list and the biggest gang of shithouses ever to wear the shirt ahead of him then unfortunately there's nothing down for him.

I'd really like to believe that.

Mistakes are made by managers and coaches every day, and our former regime made more than their fair share. But Texeira has been around so long, including a long loan spell, if he was the real thing it wouldn't had gone unnoticed. If the problem was he didn't get the chances he deserved here, someone else would've grabbed him.

What his potential was when he arrived, how our ability to develop him have been, and how big a part his injuries have played, that's another question.

That's sad, think I'm going to stop liking younger foreign players coming through for us because they usually end up just leaving.

One thing I'd have liked Klopp to have said, if he was being so honest, was exactly what the problem with him is. Not strong enough? Too slow? If he'd just mentioned what it was he needed to develop that would've been cool.
