Microsoft has been granted a patent that would allow the company to make a chatbot using the personal information of deceased people.

The patent describes creating a bot based on the “images, voice data, social media posts, electronic messages”, and more personal information.

This is the future.

Yuval Noah Harari talks about it in 'Homo Deus' that algorithms are being worked on, and improved everyday, that will allow a person to 'exist' forever based on information shared and learning, based on expected behaviors.

I find it fascinating the idea that 'i' could possibly 'live' forever if I'm  not lucky enough to get to the point why biological science can offer this as a reality.

You will not be living forever, because you will not have sense of your own self. What will, however, liver forever, would be your projection as other see you, so at least you will be able to keep annoying people for ever.

Imagine an updated British version of Police Squad: loads of straight-faced delivery of acutely-observed TV clichés and the silliest gags and puns.

Apparently, when they were filming it Suranne Jones got the scripts for her next series of Scott & Bailey.  She says the whole cast were pissing themselves laughing, because the clichés in the "serious drama" were the same ones they were taking the piss out of in Cloth.
