Don't think he's past it, by any means, but on last season's evidence, he's not as strong as he once was. I don't ever look at the team-sheet on a matchday and think "shit, not Carragher" but, to me, he looked shaky at times last year. The last-ditch tackles were too often because he'd got done or got himself in a bad position.

 

I also wish he'd stop trying to give away penalties. It's bad for my coronary arteries.

 

He's a good enough player to turn it round, but there remains the possibility that it's the relentless march of age, rather than poor form.

many things covered already, like rating players etc, but i would add that I often think Ferguson makes good sense and if I were a united player, i would love the way he is. (not to say he isnt a cunt most of the time)

I like this idea........here are some opinions:

 

1.Grown men who wear a full football uniform (matching shirt, shorts, socks) when they go for a jog or play a game of footy are weird and should be eyed with suspicion.

 

2.People who regularly wear football shirts to town as "fashion" are strange and need to enter the world of the adult.

 

3.There's nothing detestable about Frank Lampard except the team he plays for.

 

4.Fernando Torres is the world's greatest striker, but he isn't as fast as people say (definitely not "blistering," which is a common adjective I hear about him).

 

5.Jose Mourinho would be a great manager to play for.
