I hate Van Gaal, Hitzfeld would be more of the same and Johan doesnt need or want the pressure.

Capello hasnt been mentioned

Capello would be my number one choice Mick, but there is no chance of taking him from England IMO.

Cisse and Crouch better than Kuyt??

If Cisse was good enough, he'd be playing for a top team.

Regardless of whether he plays for a top team or not, Cisse's scored 9 league goals in 24 appearances which is decent, and he'll finish with 15 or so by the end of the season.

He was frustrating and a pain in the arse for us at times, but he wasn't that bad.

With respect to the original poster, the choice of Rafa's replacement should be irrelevant in determining whether or not RAFA should go. If someone comes in, fails and takes us backwards it won't mean we were wrong to get rid of Rafa, rather that we have made the wrong appointment as his replacement. You get rid of a manager at the point when you are convinced he can't take the team forwards. In my mind it comes down to whether you think Liverpool can win a league title under Rafa (and, after 5 years, I have to say that I don't).

Houllier's admirers used to use this tactic - it's called 'better the devil you know'....

Spot on.

Not knowing who to get is no reason to keep someone.

It would`nt matter who replaced Rafa, at this moment in time there is`nt a manager on the planet who, with neither owner talking to each other, a chief exec who is total crap and so much shit going on behind the scenes at LFC, who could get us any higher than second which is where we are now, so leave well alone, once the club has sorted itself out Rafa WILL win the prem.

you're right, the lad is a decent player (never said he was *that* bad).

but he won't ever make it at a top club.

we're dropped to second spot in the league; we're in the final 16 of the Champions League (not to mention getting to 2 CL finals in 5 years; and another semi) and you want to fuking sack our manager?

Are you out of your fuking mind?

There is more brain power in Rafa's excrement, than in the brains of these plastic fans, who have been spouting pure undiluted crap these last few days and weeks.

Go and *support* Chelsea or Real Fuking Madrid.

Great idea, get rid of Benitez and find out it's only Mick Mccarthy available.
