Tunes that are just fucking ace.....

I miss this band so much.  First clip is studio recorded but is live and with no backing track; amazing stuff, both the performance and the tune.  I love how it goes from classic rock power chords to Skynrd-style country to screaming blues in the space of about 20 seconds.  The second tune just makes me smile every time I hear it.

Also I hate, literally hate this band, but this tune is fucking ace.  Used to get played in 'snogging half hour' at every alternative/.student club night I ever went to back in the mid to late 90s.  Odd distinction for an anti-racism song but it's probably still the winner in my personal tops and fingers league for that reason alone.

Cunts need to post more tunes that are just fucking ace.

I just found this on youtube, can't believe I haven't seen it before.  The tune itself is just fucking ace but this version is awesome - Ronnie Spector doing Be My Baby with Belinda Carlisle and Grace Slick replacing Estelle and Nedra on backing vocals.  Admittedly Ronnie had begun her transformation into Zelda from Terrahawks at this point but her voice is still incredible. If you can get Belinda Carlisle singing backing vocals for you in the late 80s (and Grace Slick doing it at any time from about 1970 onwards) you know you're a legend
