Meanwhile the Prime Minister kicked dozens of black citizens out of the country in pursuit of a patently racist immigration policy.

Precisely. It’s pure tokenism, designed to draw attention away from actual atrocities.

It’s a wedding of a black woman and a man at the peak of ‘privilege’. There was a gospel choir in Windsor castle and a pastor who’s an advocate of LGBT rights making the main speech. A black musician, at the absolute pinnacle of his career has had world wide exposure.

I've no animosity against the par of them but would you bend the knee?

I enjoyed the wedding

We have a whole thread dedicated to the consensus (with which, for the record, I do not concur) that weddings are not enjoyable; that's weddings that we are invited to, with people we know, where we get to eat and drink.

The idea of watching some strangers' wedding on telly is about as unenjoyable as it gets.

I still enjoyed it as the pastor said "god is love" and seeing love in the world around us is powerful. I liked that, to love ones country is not a bad thing either, anger and hate is negative for us personally as well as others. In a crazy world it is nice to see positive things happen on the television. It reminds me that in spite of all the things wrong in the world love is there to be found

Strangely I agree.

As I work nights I slept through the whole thing and thought just give Faceaids a bit of a swerve and I'll be fine. Wrong. At work and keep on getting calls from Americans who want to talk about it.

At least we aren't due any more any time soon are we?

Did you watch it on your SM-550 using Tapatalk?

A bit of the pomp and circumstance would have been lost in translation on the little screen, n'est-ce pas?

Not to mention a much less decent optic nerve at Megan's chebs.

Mind you, Fatty Ferguson's kids would've looked much smaller, so every cloud...

No need to apologise, we all make mistakes.

Apparently it isn't entirely uncommon for people at weddings to admire the physical beauty of the bride... if you'll in turn however pardon my slight ribaldry in referencing it.
