Great news, wish all our players hadn't been called up! Seriously though, if Carragher is fit he is in the squad and maybe it is a case where Rafa has had a word with Eriksson and asked that he isn't picked?

Possibly, but why not do that with gerrard too.. especially as he was the one who was injured during england duty last time around

Gerrard has had breaks with injuries and what have you whilst Carra has played pretty much non stop since he came back from his broken leg. In all honesty I'd rather he left Carra out rather than Gerrard as Carra is far more important to us at the moment.

I genuinely don't get it. James was first choice for ages. He makes a string of fuck ups. Sven drops him. A year later he puts him back in his squad. In that time, the only goalkeeper he's really taken a look at is Robinson. But he needs another goalkeeper for his squad. Why not try Ashdown of Portsmouth? Or even Carson? Or any English goalkeeper? Why keep putting your favourite players in every time, even if you've dropped him several months previous? I genuinely don't get the man, and the Carra decision takes the piss. "I won't pick players based on their reputations" I seem to remember him saying when he got the job.
