What we lack, bar a few players, is real intelligence and composure. Van Dijk and MacAllister have it in spades. 

We played close to a perfect 1st half. Completely in control. Obviously, that is not something we could remotely do for more than 45 minutes. Some moron had to make an individual error under no pressure to ruin everything.

I think his place, if we keep him, is as an impact sub. He’s just not someone we should be relying on for 90 minutes and wouldn’t be a starter for any other club currently in the top six.
