What is the point of whatever statement, excuse or apology PGMOL come up with?

As always it won't give us back the lost points - lost points which could have massive ramifications for our season.

Just like all the other fuck ups and subsequent meaningless apologies/excuses....Time and time again huge decisions that are wrong with huge ramifications for the teams and never any lessons learnt/anything done to stop it happening again.

We need Howard Webb gone and a clear out of these officials. Training needs to be better and aligned with European officials. A huge overhaul is needed. People may take the piss at us as we’ve lost the game. But all clubs have been or will be shafted.
Best league in the world, it isn’t. As for the performance, we’ve fought like fuck here and must use this as motivation moving forwards.

Absolutely not , nothing wrong with a different opinion but when decent posters bring up the blatant Corruption and the slagging off they get because they " cant"  take a defeat then that's what I fucking hate

They are scrambling to put any defence to this out . They are lucky at the moment most of the outrage is over the offside but there were two other dreadful decisions and countless terrible smaller ones.

Yup, it'll be totally forgotten Jotas first yellow was for Udogie literally tackling himself, then Jota the idiot goes and puts in a tackle that actually did deserve a yellow to make the refs decision easy.

Might be one to take with a big pinch of salt like but....

Interesting discussion on reddit.
You remember the commentator saying how it was 'bizarre' that the screens at the stadium were still showing the VAR graphic for minutes after the 'offside' was confirmed?

There's talk that the check was still ongoing and somehow the ref thought it was complete and restarted the game too soon.

It's fucking ludicrously incompetent but sounds about right when you consider just how quick the 'check' was.

Rather, because you’re expecting reds not to be up in arms against decisions that are clearly wrong. Clearly. You can’t see those decisions? You haven’t seen then the other shite decisions that these come up with whether it’s Wolves Man U, I dunno even an Everton goal ruled out a few weeks ago? You think it’s ok?  Absolute fucking shite decisions and fans are meant to suck it up. Can’t accept it when they now have the technology and the system to get things correct. Stop it.

It’s just astonishing. This isn’t incompetence. This isn’t a malfunction by equipment (you could see it with the naked eye). This is deliberate.

The red cards you can argue either way. But this is not nuanced. This is wrong. And it’s deliberately wrong.

They'll fall back on the "but the lines..."

But no one, not just us, should accept that. They simply cannot justify making that decision in a matter of seconds, if they were genuinely having a problem with the lines they would have continued trying for some time, especially seeing it was onside to the naked eye.

Well well well....

PGMOL acknowledge significant human error during Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool. The goal by Luiz Diaz was disallowed for offside by the on-field team of match officials. This was a clear and obvious factual error and should have resulted in the goal being awarded through VAR intervention, however, the VAR failed to intervene.

PGMOL will conduct a full review into the circumstances which led to the error.

Disgusting.
